This Friday, the 9th May, marks the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey from five long dark years of occupation by the German Forces. On Liberation Day, families, friends, and visitors to Guernsey will join in the celebrations including a parade of military vehicles, church services and a host of entertainment on Guerney’s St Peter Port front. The day ends at 9:30 with a fireworks display set against a backdrop of Castle Cornet. For more information and details on this year's events go
