Guernsey's beach cafés and tearooms provide the perfect pick me up for weary walkers, stiff cyclists and sunbathers in need of shade.
These cheerful beachside stalls sell everything you would expect - and often a bit more. Ice creams in cones, good cups of coffee, freshly made crab sandwiches and homemade cakes. Then there is the less expected, the crab lines and sun hats, buckets and spades and windbreaks.
They are pivotal to the 27 beaches around the island - you may even find you are spoilt for choice at the larger beaches.
