The fourth Guernsey Literary Festival is already attracting big name authors.Journalist and TV personality Will Self will be one of the star attractions at this year’s festival in September. Other authors already confirmed are Scottish writer A.L. Kennedy and crime writer Sophie Hannah. Continuing last year’s festival aim of offering events for the whole family, children’s author and artist Korky Paul will hold a ‘read and draw’ session and one of last year’s favourites, Spud and Yam will return.
This year’s festival will take place between 16-20 September, with the main events again taking place at its inflatable venue, The Hub on Market Terrace, Town Church and St James. Keep an eye on this page for more announcements over the coming months of confirmed authors and TV personalities that will also feature in the popular festival.
'Last year’s festival was a real success and we are keen to build on that with this year’s programme. We are gaining a reputation as a very friendly festival for authors to come to and as this builds we will attract even bigger names to Guernsey,' said festival director, Catriona Stares.
